Ancient Corinth

The tour begins along the coastal road, admiring the splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, towards the West through the historic cities of Elefsina and Megara. The first stop is at the Corinth Canal, a place where the northern part and the southern part of Greece are joined via a bridge while the canal links the western part with the eastern part of Greece. Twenty minutes later you will arrive at the small town of Ancient Corinth, the most important commercial hub of the ancient world, until threatened by Athens. Walking along the ruins of the ancient city, the baths and the temple of Apollo you will get an idea of this remarkable place which was considered the richest city in the ancient world.

Next you'll be driven to visit Acrocorinth, the acropolis of ancient Corinth, where an imposing fortress was later built in the site. From there the view to the four points of the horizon is stunning.
